-Tossing her keys on her desk as she walks into her quiet North Carolina home. She takes a seat in the large computer chair, turning on the screen in front of her, waiting impatiently for things to load. Reaching over, she turns on the radio, humming along to a familiar tune. Turning her attention back to the computer she goes to her email, reading through a few, before opening up her journal-
Growing up always having someone to talk to, and now being so far away, things sometimes can be a little difficult. Theres always the phone.. but the phone is so uncomfortable. So.. it just doesn't seem like the proper way to communicate with your loved ones if you asked me. You should be sitting down face to face with your mother, talking about your day over a cup of hot coffee, watching her smile as you inform her of all of your accomplishments. And I have that, only it comes a lot fewer than most. A journal is a nice idea I suppose. Having a place that I can quickly get things out. Rather than having to call her up, not knowing how she's reacting to certain news. Not being able to sit there with her, and see that smile, or have a comforting frown when we're both upset with something.
-She shrugs her shoulders lightly, leaning back against the chair-
I'm Katherine Noelle Holmes, but you can call me Katie, most everyone does. I'm an actress, undoubtedly known for my role of Joey Potter on the WB's series Dawson's Creek. I've also been recognized for a few movies, but I don't think that ever in my lifetime I will ever live it down as being the girl that rowed the boat across the creek and climbed into the boys bedroom. It's all right though. It was a great time. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world you know.
Currently I'm still living in North Carolina, still in Wilmington actually. Which is where Dawson's Creek was shot. I'm going to be working on a new movie, First Daughter. Filming for the movie starts on June 2nd. Marc Blucas was cast as my opposite. He was on Buffy for a season or two. I met him recently. Seems like a pretty decent guy. Right now, I'm just finishing up working on lines and things. Enjoying the rest of my short vacation while I can. We've only been done filming Dawson's since April 28th, so I haven't had too much down time. We had to do a lot of promotion for the series finale and what not, so I am really just trying to spend a lot of time to myself and just relax a bit. It's not really working all that well.
-Laughing quietly to herself, she clicks 'update' before logging off her computer. Grabbing her keys and her bag, she walks out the front door, towards her car-
